Rustic Elegance in the Heart of Jarrahfall Bush Camp

Gabbi and Justin’s connection was instant, a spark that felt both familiar and destined from the very first moment they met.

They matched on a dating app in 2022 and quickly realised they shared many mutual friends and even crossed paths as teens, though they had never actually met. Their first date felt effortless, like reconnecting with someone they had always known. In fact, Justin asked Gabbi out for a second date before the first one had even ended. From the very beginning, it was clear they had found their person.

Life moved faster than either expected. Just six months after meeting, Gabbi discovered she was pregnant. During a maternity shoot on the beach, Justin proposed, only four weeks before the birth of their daughter, Tessa. After two years of engagement, buying their first home, and sharing countless milestones together, the couple was ready to celebrate their love and make it official in front of family and friends.

Their September wedding at Jarrahfall Bush Camp in Dwellingup struck the perfect balance between rustic charm and understated elegance.

“We still wanted it to fit the forest vibe of Jarrahfall, but we wanted an elegant feel,” they said. “Our aim for the day was to create a relaxed and loving atmosphere with lots of fun and banter, and then an amazing party once all the formalities had concluded. I feel we absolutely nailed this!”

With 120 guests in attendance, the celebration was lively yet intimate. Dwellingup was the ideal location.

“We love Dwellingup, and we didn’t want people to have to travel too far as so many of our family and friends have young children. We opted for a kid-free wedding, except for our kids and nephews at the ceremony and cocktail hour. Plus, we live in Boddington, so it’s only 30 minutes away.”

Jarrahfall’s forested surroundings provided a stunning backdrop for the day.

“We always wanted an outdoor wedding surrounded by the trees. What better place to do it than in a forest?” Gabbi said. “The addition of the main house for accommodation and a beautiful getting-ready space made the morning even more special. We loved that it was an all-in-one venue.”

Planning the day was made seamless thanks to Lauren and the Jarrahfall team. “Lauren is incredible. The work she does behind the scenes, plus her styling and day-of coordination, is priceless. We couldn’t have done it without her!”

Gabbi and Justin didn’t feel the need to explore any other venues. “Honestly, none. We had seen photos of Jarrahfall, did a tour, and that was it.” Their guests were equally impressed. “We have had amazing feedback from our guests. They loved Dwellingup and Jarrahfall.”

For Gabbi, the ceremony was a whirlwind of emotion.

“I was so nervous, and it went so fast. I barely even remember any of the details, but it was perfect.”

Looking back, the couple reflected on the day with joy. “We wanted an elegant, relaxed, and fun celebration, and Jarrahfall allowed us to do that perfectly. It is an incredible venue, and we would absolutely recommend it to any couple. You cannot go wrong!”
