Kate and Devyn’s
Elegant Bush Spring Wedding in Dwellingup
Kate and Devyn’s love story began in 2018, and from the start, there was an undeniable spark. He had an easy confidence, a laugh that drew her in, and a smile she just couldn’t ignore. After they first met, her aunty asked if anyone had caught her eye, and she simply said there was something about him – a spark she couldn’t quite explain. A passing comment that turned out to be the start of it all.
For the most part, they’re opposites, a bush boy and a city girl, but together they share the same goofy sense of humour and a love that’s both affectionate and passionate. Weekends often find them at home with their labrador, Barney, or off camping, catching live music, and cheering from opposite sides of the football field (he supports West Coast, she supports Freo). And it all just works, your classic opposites attract love story.
Kate and Devyn envisioned an elegant bush wedding theme for their most special day and they couldn’t have dreamed of a better outcome.
Joined with 50 of their nearest and dearest, their ceremony was held along the bush trail among the beautiful jarrah trees at Noble River Estate. “The natural backdrop at Noble River Estate was absolutely breathtaking to us, we barely needed any decor at all.”
The reception for this gorgeous, spring wedding was held on the deck at the main lodge, decorated with simple fairy lights, bud vases with orange and pink flowers, and tea light candles. “Our goal was to have a laidback and joyous atmosphere for our day, and our celebrant and DJ did an amazing job at ensuring that was the result,” she added.
Always in their minds
From their early dating days, Kate and Devyn had always been drawn to getting married in Dwellingup (they even talked about it once on a road trip through the area!). It was a convenient location for their closest family and friends to attend, and it offered everything they were looking for. Their guests absolutely loved Dwellingup and it was even better that they were able to stay the night in the chalets.
“Noble River Estate was the one and only venue we looked at, and it was perfect in every way. Everywhere you look is absolutely beautiful, and the serenity is like nothing else.”
Room for everyone, even Barney!
The venue itself was full of hidden delights, from resident kangaroos grazing nearby to vibrant peacocks and curious wrens, and best of all, it welcomed their beloved dog to share in the celebration. What more could you want in a venue, just south of Perth.
Kate and Devyn’s spectacular day was everything they had ever dreamed of. But if they could choose one moment to relive it would be letting loose on the dance floor with all of their wonderful family and friends. The vibes were electric and everyone was ecstatic.
Kate and Devyn would recommend Noble River Estate and Dwellingup to any couples looking for their dream bush wedding venue. “It looks beautiful any time of year and there are so many amazing spots around the grounds to have your ceremony and reception – let alone photos, you are absolutely spoiled for choice.”
